Nine Cincinnati-area students have been awarded $1,000 scholarships through Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin’s Chasing M’s Foundation. The scholarships honor the medical team who helped save Hamlin’s life after he went into cardiac arrest during a Monday night football game in January 2023.
Scholarship Winners
The foundation provides scholarships for high school and college-bound students looking to attend regional private high schools, trade schools or universities. This year’s winners are: Harper Allen, Dixie Heights High School; Connor Burns, Loveland High School; Ismael Dembele, Winton Woods High School; Matthew Groves, Grove City Christian School; Phoenix Lewis, Miami University; Maddie Lippert, The Ohio State University; Rachel Panko, The University of Kentucky; Leeanna Teegarden, Boone County High School; and Isabella Vollmer, Miami University.
Hamlin’s foundation has also expanded to Buffalo and his hometown of Pittsburgh, providing more opportunities for students in those areas.
