Dallas Wings Secure Third Consecutive Victory Against Seattle Storm

The Dallas Wings continued their winning streak with a decisive 79-56 victory over the Seattle Storm on Monday night, further solidifying their strong start to the season. Aziaha James was instrumental off the bench, contributing 18 points to the Wings’ success.

Paige Bueckers also played a pivotal role, scoring all 10 of her points in the first half and adding nine rebounds and seven assists. Her performance helped the Wings establish a 36-25 lead by halftime. Despite shooting just 36% from the field, Dallas managed to maintain control of the game.

The Wings opened the third quarter with an 8-0 run, extending their lead to 44-25. Seattle struggled offensively, failing to score their first field goal of the second half until the 5:39 mark of the third quarter.

Other notable performances for Dallas included Arike Ogunbowale and Maddy Siegrist, who both contributed to the team’s efforts despite some shooting challenges. Jessica Shepard was a force on the boards, securing eight rebounds to help Dallas outrebound Seattle 48-36.

For the Seattle Storm, Flau’jae Johnson led with 16 points and 10 rebounds but fouled out with just under 40 seconds remaining. Natisha Hiedeman added 11 points for the Storm. Johnson’s performance was notable as she became the second rookie guard in WNBA history to achieve 15 blocks in 10 games, joining the ranks of Elena Delle Donne.

Seattle’s shooting woes were evident as they made only 33% of their field goals, including a mere 4 of 19 from beyond the arc. The Wings’ victory brings their record to 6-3, while the Storm falls to 3-7.
