The Dallas Express and WBAP are giving North Texans another reason to head to Longhorn Icehouse on Wednesday: World Cup soccer, live country music, and a patriotic birthday celebration all in one place.
America 250 & DX’s 5th Birthday Bash
The free-admission event is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Longhorn Icehouse, located at 1901 W. Northwest Highway in Dallas. The event will feature a live concert by country artist Rich O’Toole, along with the deluxe 250th Anniversary re-release of his album American Kid.
This year’s bash will also land on a major FIFA World Cup 2026 knockout-round day. The July 1 slate includes England vs. Congo DR, Belgium vs. Senegal, and a primetime matchup between the United States and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
For Dallas fans, the timing could not be better. The U.S. match is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. CT, right in the middle of the DX and WBAP celebration. Longhorn Icehouse is being promoted by event organizers as an ideal game-day venue, with nearly 100 massive HD TVs and a 50-foot video wall designed to give guests a stadium-style viewing experience.
The venue’s large indoor space, full-service bars, food, patio, and live-music setup will allow guests to watch Team USA, celebrate Independence Day week, and mark The Dallas Express’ fifth birthday.
The event comes just days before July 4, when the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. World Cup fans who want to make a full day of it can catch soccer earlier in the day before the DX celebration begins.
Longhorn Icehouse lists Wednesday hours beginning at 11 a.m., giving fans the chance to gather before the evening event. The bash will then shift into a patriotic night of live music and community as DX readers, WBAP listeners, sponsors, and supporters gather ahead of America’s 250th anniversary.
The evening will also celebrate The Dallas Express’ fifth birthday, giving supporters a chance to mark the publication’s growth while enjoying one of Dallas’ largest sports-watch venues.
General admission is free. Guests who want reserved seating can purchase a two-top table for $50, which includes two drink tickets, or a four-top table for $100, which includes four drink tickets. A reserved VIP booth for six people is available for $200 and includes six drink tickets, an exclusive VIP meet-and-greet with O’Toole, and a DX swag bag.
A VIP booth with 10 seats is available for $400 and includes 10 drink tickets, an exclusive pre-show VIP meet-and-greet with O’Toole, and a DX swag bag. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
