The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden will conclude its 12 Days of Christmas Gazebos exhibit after the 2026 holiday season. According to Sabina H. Carr, President & CEO of the Dallas Arboretum, the decision to retire the gazebos was made due to wear and tear on the animatronics after years of operation.
Exhibit History
The 12 Days of Christmas Gazebos exhibit first began in 2014 and was initially intended for a five-year run. However, its popularity led to an extended lifespan. Carr stated that the gazebos will be given a dignified sendoff, rather than allowing the experience to diminish.
The final season of the exhibit will begin on November 11, 2026, and will include special promotions and programming to celebrate its final run. In 2027, a light sculpture installation entitled HYBYCOZO will replace the gazebos for the holiday season. The Dallas Arboretum has also promised a new holiday experience for the 2028 season, although details have not been disclosed.
