DADEVILLE, Mo. – Dadeville High School educator Brent Rountree has been recognized as the October Teacher of the Month, a distinction that celebrates his twenty years of service to local students, athletics and school technology.
Multiple roles, one mission
Rountree wears many hats for the Dadeville School District. In addition to teaching high‑school business courses, he serves as the district’s technology coordinator, athletic director, and head coach for both the high‑school baseball and softball teams. His broad involvement reflects the close‑knit culture he says keeps him invested in the school year after year.
Community‑driven recognition
The monthly recognition program highlights outstanding teachers across the Ozarks through partnerships with local sponsors. Each month’s recipient receives a public acknowledgment and a modest award, while the district benefits from a $2,500 donation. At the end of the academic year, one overall grand‑prize winner will be awarded an additional $2,500, with a second $2,500 contribution directed to the winning educator’s school district.
How nominations work
Community members, parents and students are invited to nominate deserving educators by completing an online entry form. Nominations should emphasize an educator’s commitment to academic excellence, leadership and mentorship both inside and outside the classroom. The process encourages families and neighbors to celebrate teachers who embody the values of hard work, integrity and service.
Why Rountree stands out
“It’s the close‑knit culture and strong community support that keeps me invested,” Rountree said. His dedication to integrating technology into the classroom, fostering athletic teamwork and preparing students for real‑world business challenges has earned him respect from colleagues, parents and students alike.
Looking ahead
The Teacher of the Month program continues to spotlight educators who make a difference in the Ozarks. By highlighting teachers like Rountree, the initiative reinforces the importance of strong families, faith‑based values and individual liberty in shaping the next generation.
For those interested in nominating a teacher, the online form is available on the program’s website. Additional information about the award and its sponsors can be found through local media outlets.
