Crystal Bridges Museum Expands with New Galleries in Bentonville

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, is set to unveil its latest expansion, adding over 100,000 square feet of new galleries and studios. This expansion aims to enhance the museum’s ability to showcase American art and provide more space for educational and community activities.

Opening Event

The expansion will be introduced with an event titled ‘By Design: A Conversation on the Crystal Bridges Expansion,’ featuring Founder Alice Walton and Board Chair Olivia Walton. They will be joined by Moshe Safdie, the founding partner of Safdie Architects, who played a significant role in the design of the new spaces. The event is scheduled for May 29 at 4 p.m. and will take place at the Heartland Whole Health Institute on the Crystal Bridges Campus. Tickets are available online for $15.

Public Opening

The new expansion will open to the public on June 6 and 7, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the new galleries and studios. This development is expected to attract art enthusiasts from across the region and beyond, further solidifying Bentonville’s reputation as a cultural hub.
