Cooper DeJean, a former Hawkeye and current Philadelphia Eagles defensive back, hosted his first youth football camp in central Iowa. The camp, which was held at Dowling Catholic High School, drew around 700 young athletes.
Inspiring the Next Generation
DeJean stated that he was excited to have the opportunity to come back to Iowa and inspire the young athletes. He mentioned that he never had the chance to attend camps like this when he was growing up, so it was great for him to be able to provide this experience for the kids.
The camp featured 16 stations where the kids could participate in various football drills and activities. DeJean was on hand to provide guidance and support to the young athletes, and he seemed to be enjoying himself as much as the kids were.
