Community State Bank (CSB) closed out October 2026 with a sweep of regional honors that underscore the bank’s deep roots in Southeast Wisconsin. The Union Grove‑based institution earned seven awards across the Best of Racine, Best of Kenosha, and Best of Geneva Lakes programs, reflecting strong support from employees, customers, and community leaders.
Award Highlights
In Racine County, CSB was named Best Place to Work (West of I‑94), Best Financial Institution, and Best Customer Service. The Kenosha awards mirrored that success, with the bank taking home Best Financial Institution and Best Place to Work (West of I‑94). The Lake Geneva area also recognized CSB as a favorite for Best Financial Institution and Best Customer Service.
“We wouldn’t be able to accomplish our goals without the incredible people committed to supporting our mission,” said CSB President Bob Findysz. “We are proud of everything they do here and the impact they continue having on our communities.”
Chamber of Commerce Recognition
Earlier in the month, the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce named CSB Best Place to Work in Kenosha at its 110th annual meeting held at The Club at Strawberry Creek. Laura Burnett Shoemaker, CSB’s Vice President and Market President for the Kenosha‑Racine region, accepted the award, noting that the honor was based on employee feedback and the selection committee’s review.
Individual Honors
Long‑time employee David Moyer, former Senior Vice President and Market President for Union Grove, received the Frank Lamping Community Service Award as he retired after a 20‑year career with the bank. “I know of no one more deserving of the award,” said CSB CEO Scott Huedepohl.
Chief Operations Officer Katie Stolp was highlighted by Biz Times Milwaukee as a Notable COO. Stolp began her CSB career 15 years ago as a customer service representative. “That path has given Katie something you can’t learn from an org chart,” explained CSB Chief Innovation Officer Gregory Wall. “She knows how decisions made around a conference table eventually reach an employee helping a customer at one of our offices.”
Additionally, EVP and Chief Lending Officer Robert Pieroni celebrated his tenth Small Business Administration 504 project with Business Lending Partners, earning his second Heavy Hitters Club bobblehead award from the Racine County Economic Development Corporation. “Being able to support local businesses and help them achieve their goals is one of the most gratifying parts of my job,” Pieroni said.
Leadership Perspective
CEO Huedepohl credited the breadth of recognition to the bank’s staff and the communities they serve. “We couldn’t do any of this without a staff that cares about our communities and communities that support us and community banking,” he said.
Since its founding in 1898, Community State Bank has remained a locally owned and operated institution, dedicated to serving the people of Southeast Wisconsin. For more information, visit csb.bank.
