Community Partners of South Florida Celebrates 40 Years of Service

Community Partners of South Florida, one of the largest nonprofits in Palm Beach County, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Since its founding in 1986, the organization has been dedicated to changing the odds for children and families facing social, emotional, and financial challenges.

Milestones and Services

In the past year alone, Community Partners reached over 8,000 residents and provided more than 25,000 mental health services. The organization began with a focus on supportive housing and later expanded to include mental health counseling and psychiatric care. Today, they offer holistic care tailored to meet clients where they are on their journey.

Community Partners is also a member of the NeighborWorks America network, a nationally chartered organization that emphasizes financial empowerment, community development, and resident engagement.

Housing Initiatives

Anna Lopez, Director of Housing, explained that their housing department conducts homebuyer education workshops, accommodating busy schedules with both virtual and in-person options. These workshops are designed to guide individuals through the process of becoming and sustaining homeownership, regardless of whether they are first-time buyers or looking to adjust their living situation.

Upcoming Events

As part of their ongoing efforts, Community Partners is hosting a housing fair during NeighborWorks Week. The event, scheduled for June 6th at Hatch 1121 in Lake Worth Beach, invites the community to engage with lenders and explore various housing opportunities. The fair promises to be a fun and informative event for all attendees.

For those interested in assistance or wanting to contribute to the cause, Community Partners encourages visiting their website for more information. Their dedicated team of client experience coordinators is ready to assess individual and family needs, connecting them to the necessary support and resources.
