New Haven’s Common Ground High School marked a proud milestone this week as the school celebrated its latest graduating class, with 11 students earning a special environmental honor alongside their diplomas, according to the New Haven Register.

Common Ground, long known for its unique focus on urban farming and environmental education, sent another class of graduates into the world equipped with both academic credentials and a deep connection to sustainability. Avelo Airlines announced it is expanding service from Tweed-New Haven with new nonstop flights to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and Houston — giving New Haven-area travelers more direct connections without a trip to a larger regional airport.
