The 2026 World Cup is expected to bring in even more viewers, featuring more foreign-born players than ever before. The U.S. team includes six foreign-born players and one who largely grew up outside of the country.
Colorado’s Soccer Stars
Stacker compiled data to see how many soccer stars born in Colorado have played in the World Cup for the United States men’s national soccer team. Ethan Horvath, born in Highlands Ranch, played in the 2022 World Cup.
Other states with the most U.S. World Cup players include California, Pennsylvania, and Missouri. Colorado ranks 17th, with only one player representing the state.
