A local restaurant in Colorado Springs has reopened after temporarily closing due to multiple health code violations. Inspectors found raw chicken, beef, and shrimp stored together on the same shelf with juices pooling between the products. The meats were also being held at unsafe temperatures.
Health Inspection Results
Inspectors also noted several food items were missing date labels, and reported that utensils and walls were covered in grease and food debris. The restaurant has since passed its follow-up inspection.
Flying W Ranch on Centennial Boulevard earned a perfect health inspection score. Head Chef Luke Tripp said maintaining a spotless kitchen is part of the restaurant’s daily standards. The ranch serves an authentic Western-style dinner and features live musical performances, ranch animals, and sometimes even rodeos.
