The state of Colorado is relaunching its e-bike rebate program, which was initially run from the summer of 2023 to the spring of 2025. During its first run, the program helped nearly 8,000 residents save over $9.75 million on e-bike purchases.

Program Details

The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) will oversee the relaunched program, which has $3 million in funding from the Community Access Enterprise. This funding will provide point-of-sale rebates for qualifying e-bike purchases for around 2,800 residents over the next year.

Rebates are available to people living in Colorado with a household income at or below 80% of the area median income in their local county. The rebates will be $1,000, with extra rebates available for e-cargo bikes and adaptive e-bike purchases.

Registration for the program will be open on a quarterly basis for one week at a time, starting on August 24 at 11 a.m. and closing on August 31 at 12 p.m. Residents can register on the e-bike rebate webpage and must purchase their e-bike from a qualifying retailer to be eligible for the rebate.
