College Football Playoff Schedule Announced, Includes Texas Quarterfinal

The College Football Playoff (CFP) for the 2026-27 season will span from December 18 to January 25, culminating in the national championship game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. This year’s playoff schedule includes 11 games, with a significant event taking place in Texas.

Quarterfinals in Texas

Among the quarterfinals, the Cotton Bowl will host a game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on January 1. This game is part of a trio of quarterfinals scheduled for New Year’s Day, with the other two taking place at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona, will host its quarterfinal on December 30.

Semifinals and Championship

After a two-week break, the semifinals will be held at the Orange Bowl in Miami Gardens, Florida, on January 14, and the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on January 15. The championship game will then take place on January 25 in Las Vegas.

Broadcast and Streaming Details

The CFP games will be broadcast across various networks, with ESPN holding the primary rights. Five games will be sublicensed to TNT Sports and its networks. Games on ESPN will also be available on the ESPN App, while first-round games on TNT and truTV can be streamed on HBO Max.

First-Round Games

The first-round games will be held at campus sites, which will be announced on December 6. The first game will kick off on December 18, followed by three more games on December 19.
