EA Sports has released the team ratings for College Football 27, and some teams have been rated too high or too low. The Georgia Bulldogs, for example, have been rated highly despite concerns about their performance in the era of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and the transfer portal.
Teams Rated Too High
Indiana has been rated too highly, with a 90 overall rating. The Hoosiers did not recruit well enough to merit this high of a team ranking, and their transfer portal class was not impressive.
Teams Rated Too Low
Clemson has been rated too low, with an overall rating of 83. The Tigers have consistently signed some of the best recruiting classes in the ACC in the last five years and have talented players like linebacker Sammy Brown and wide receivers T.J. Moore and Bryant Wesco.
Other teams, such as Alabama and Auburn, have also been rated too high or too low. Alabama’s roster is littered with talent, but the team’s performance has been inconsistent. Auburn’s offense has been rated highly, but the team lost its top two receivers from last season.
