After receiving notification from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue dispatch, Coast Guard Sector Miami directed a Station Miami Beach boat crew to respond.
An emergency medical technician provided initial medical care while awaiting the arrival of partner agencies. The crew then assisted with transferring the patient to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel for transport to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
