Cleveland residents are invited to participate in the second annual People’s Solutions Lab, a community event aimed at strengthening civic engagement ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The event will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Care Alliance Health Center – Central Neighborhood Clinic.
Empowering Civic Participation
The People’s Solutions Lab is designed to empower residents by providing them with the knowledge and resources needed to actively participate in the democratic process. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the upcoming elections, explore what’s on the ballot, and understand how public policy and community organizing can impact their daily lives.
The event will feature discussions on the relationship between community well-being, civic health, and the upcoming elections. Participants will receive practical tools such as voter education materials, outreach strategies, and community organizing resources to help engage their neighbors and family members in the electoral process.
Opportunities for Ongoing Engagement
In addition to the educational sessions, a limited number of participants will have the chance to apply for a paid community activation program. This program is designed to support residents as they implement the knowledge and skills gained from the event in their own communities.
The People’s Solutions Lab is supported by Cleveland VOTES and the Cleveland Freedom Dreams Coalition, in partnership with several local organizations including Care Alliance Health Center, Cleveland Documenters, Kings & Queens of Art, the NAACP Cleveland Branch, and Neighborhood Connections. While the event is free, registration is encouraged due to limited space.
