The Cincinnati Zoo is expecting twin red panda cubs. The zoo announced the pregnancy, sharing a video of the ultrasound. One of the zoo’s care team members expressed excitement, saying, “I was so excited to see two happy unborn children bouncing along with their umbilical cords.” The pandas are growing quickly, and the zoo is able to see more on ultrasounds each week.
Red Panda Pregnancy
This pregnancy is the 100th and 101st for the zoo and red pandas. The zoo also recently announced that 19-year-old giraffe Tessa is pregnant with her fifth calf, due in October.
