Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is gathering the community together to raise relief awareness for Venezuela after last month’s devastating earthquakes.
Community Event
The Spanish Club at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and the Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA Young Professionals joined community partners in hosting an event Thursday night to bring relief resources to people in need.
The earthquakes in late June left thousands of people dead and impacted many towns, leaving a trail of destruction in Venezuela.
The event at Cincinnati State on Thursday encouraged people to donate non-perishable food, hygiene products, baby supplies, first-aid items and other essential goods.
The event also featured live Venezuelan music, an art auction to benefit relief efforts and guest speakers from Cincinnati’s Venezuelan community.
More information on how to help can be found through Cincinnati State’s Facebook page.
