Cincinnati Public Schools hosted a back to school event for students and parents at Washington Park, connecting families with teachers and administrators while building excitement for the upcoming school year.

Hundreds of young people and their families attended the event, which was part pep rally and part lesson prep. Damien Rushing, a new CPS parent, said the event was helpful in providing an informative and welcoming start for his family to their new school.
Woodward Career Technical High School principal Dwayne Dubois was among those who enjoyed connecting with students and parents. CPS administrator Dr. Dawn Williams said the day reflects what CPS is all about, adding that it’s festive, family-oriented, and focused on the kids.
The event gave everyone a chance to understand some of the programming and other things happening inside of Greater Cincinnati’s largest school district this year.
