The Cincinnati Bengals are set to start their training camp on July 28, with the team practicing in earnest until the end of August. The Bengals will have 10 opportunities for fans to get an early look at this year’s team, with most practices beginning at 10 a.m.
Training Camp Schedule
The Bengals’ open training camp schedule includes practices on July 29, July 30, August 1, August 3, August 4, August 6, August 7, August 9, August 15, and August 16. The NFL’s clear bag policy will be in effect for training camp practices, and concessions and Bengals merchandise will be available to fans who attend the open practices.
Some Bengals players will sign autographs for fans at the conclusion of practices, with different position groups available after practices each day. The Bengals will play three preseason games before the season officially kicks off, including two at Paycor Stadium.
New Faces
The Bengals have made several key additions to their roster, including defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, safety Bryan Cook, and defensive end Boye Mafe. Lawrence, a three-time Pro Bowl lineman, is expected to play a major role for the Bengals’ defensive front this season. Cook, a Cincinnati native, won two Super Bowls in four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. Mafe, a key piece of Seattle’s Super Bowl championship in February, signed with the Bengals on a three-year, $60 million deal.
Veteran Jonathan Allen will play his 10th NFL season with the Bengals after signing a two-year, $25 million deal with the team in the spring. Other newcomers to keep an eye on include second-round pick Cashius Howell out of Texas A&M, third-round pick Tacario Davis from Washington, and veteran safety Kyle Dugger.
Position Battles
The Bengals have a relatively stable roster, but there are still some training camp battles worth keeping an eye on. The battle for the third starting wide receiver spot will include Andrei Iosivas, Charlie Jones, Mitchell Tinsley, and fourth-round pick Colbie Young out of Georgia.
