Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, is undergoing major changes to its infield in preparation for Kentucky Derby 153. The project includes the removal of tote boards near the Winner’s Circle to make room for new seating and amenities.
New Additions
The updates will add 1,400 temporary seats and introduce new infield cabanas, featuring 500 covered reserved seats. Additionally, plans are in place for a music stage, a new bar, and lounge areas. Construction is already underway on Victory Run, a four-story hospitality space along the first turn, which will include private suites, dining, and covered box seats. This project is set to be completed before the Derby in 2028. Churchill Downs is also expanding the Homestretch Club.
