Chris and Kelly’s HOPE Foundation was created after the accidental drug overdoses of founder Steve Grant’s two sons—Christopher in 2005 and Kelly in 2010. Grant created the Foundation in 2012 to support organizations that help adolescents and young adults struggling with substance abuse, addiction, and mental health concerns.
Mission Statement
Established as a donor-advised fund through the Community Foundation of Greenville, the Foundation is committed to funding treatment, recovery, and prevention programs while advancing education and research that bring hope to individuals and families navigating addiction.
Chris and Kelly’s HOPE has raised more than $800,000 over the past 12 years, supporting more than 250 organizations and individuals that advance its mission. Through investments in adolescent brain science research at Duke University, peer recovery initiatives with The Family Effect and FAVOR, direct treatment assistance, collegiate recovery programming at the College of Charleston, and the creation of Chris and Kelly’s HOPE Fitness Park along the Swamp Rabbit Trail, the Foundation continues to create lasting pathways to recovery across South Carolina and beyond.
