Chipotle Mexican Grill will open its first restaurant in Mexico in the northern border state of Nuevo Leon, local operator Alsea said on Tuesday.
The inaugural restaurant will open on Thursday in the state of Nuevo Leon which borders the United States.
Alsea, whose portfolio includes Domino’s Pizza, Starbucks and Burger King in Europe and Latin America, operates more than 4,830 locations and will serve as the development and expansion partner for the California-based chain.
Chipotle currently operates more than 4,100 locations worldwide, with menus featuring burritos, bowls, tacos and salads.
