Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid shared positive news about the condition of offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy’s wife, Mia, who was shot last weekend. Mia is out of the intensive care unit and making progress in her recovery from multiple gunshot wounds.
Family Support
Eric Bieniemy is with his wife as she recovers, and the team is supporting him during this time. Pass game coordinator Joe Bleymaier is serving as acting offensive coordinator. Reid noted that Mia is the primary caretaker for their son, Eric III, who has cerebral palsy.
Reid said there is no timeline for Eric Bieniemy to return to the team, which had their first full-squad workout of training camp on Wednesday. Eric Bieniemy is in contact with coaches and keeping up to speed on the team, including watching game footage in his spare time.
