The Chicago Vegan Farmers Market is moving to the West Loop, with weekly markets starting every Friday in Skinner Park. The market, which launched last year in West Town, will take place from 4-8 p.m. through Sept. 25.
Market Details
The market was founded by Betty Alper, who runs the gluten-free and vegan Bot Bakery. Visitors can expect a variety of fresh produce, baked goods, handmade artisanal products, and vintage clothing. So far, the market has 38 confirmed vendors participating throughout the season.
A free store by the vendor Community Donations will also be featured at the market, offering clothes, books, toys, and occasionally food at no cost. Shoppers are encouraged to bring items they no longer need, which are then redistributed at the market and through partner organizations across the city.
