Benny Johnson, a conservative influencer, recently shared a personal story about how Charlie Kirk, the late Turning Point USA founder, helped his family in a time of need. Johnson’s family was forced to leave their Washington, D.C. home after it sustained severe fire damage during the city’s ‘Defund the Police’ era.
Aiding a Family in Need
Johnson recounted the incident on the ‘Hang Out With Sean Hannity’ podcast, explaining that his family was living in a high-crime neighborhood at the time. He described how someone had smashed a window, dumped gasoline, and lit the house next to theirs on fire, which put his newborn child in danger. The fire department had to rip the door off Johnson’s house to save his child.
In the aftermath of the fire, Johnson said that Charlie Kirk was the only person who reached out to help. Kirk offered Johnson’s family a condo in Sarasota, Florida, where they could stay for as long as they needed without having to pay anything. Johnson expressed his gratitude for Kirk’s kindness and generosity.
