The Cedar Sparktacular will begin at 5 p.m. on July 4, with a fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m. A section of Cypress Creek Road between El Salido Parkway and Lakeline Boulevard will be closed at 8:30 p.m. and will reopen after traffic clears following the event.
Parking and Activities
Parking for the event will be available nearby at Cedar Park Middle School, Cedar Park High School, and Austin Community College. Parking at Milburn Park will be limited to accessible parking for people with disabilities. The event will feature live music, carnival rides, inflatables, and food trucks. Outside food and drinks are allowed, but no glass containers. Attendees are also prohibited from bringing their own fireworks, including sparklers.
After the fireworks, attendees are encouraged to stay and watch “Despicable Me 4” while waiting for the traffic to clear. The Cedar Park Police Department is encouraging parents of small children to write their names and phone numbers on wristbands for their children in case they get lost. Wristbands are available at the police department headquarters, public library, recreation center, Milburn Pool, Veterans Memorial Pool, and the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce.
