David Street Station in Casper, Wyoming, is hosting its inaugural ‘Booze, Brews and Bites’ fundraiser on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. This event will serve as one of the few fundraisers that David Street Station hosts to raise money for the station itself, with funds going directly to the surplus of events, activities and services that it puts on throughout the year.
Event Details
The ‘Booze, Brews, and Bites’ event will feature a variety of brews, booze, and food from local restaurants. Vendors will be present throughout the day, and day-of tickets can be purchased at the station, which include samples from all of the participating restaurants, bars, and breweries.
According to Whitney Asay, the executive director of the David Street Station, the event was created to replace the traditional Brew Fest. Asay stated that the decision to change the fundraiser was due to the difficulty in coordinating the Brew Fest this year, as many brewers are traveling and participating in other events across the state.
The band Pathfinder will be playing live music throughout the day, and the event will also feature mocktails for those who do not drink alcohol. Asay emphasized the importance of collaborating with other downtown businesses to make the event a success.
David Street Station hosts a limited number of fundraisers each year, and this event is one of the primary ones. The station will also be hosting a community dinner on September 10, featuring a five-course dinner served outside on the lawn.
