The Casper Police Department and Natrona County Sheriff’s Office are hosting the annual National Night Out event on August 4 at David Street Station. The event, which runs from 5-9 p.m., aims to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
Building Connections
Attendees can explore law enforcement vehicles, motorcycles, and bicycles, enjoy free donuts and giveaways, and meet the men and women who serve the Casper community. The event provides an opportunity for community members to meet officers and deputies, ask questions, and learn more about local law enforcement.
Casper Police Chief Shane Chaney emphasized the importance of building relationships between law enforcement and the community. ‘Public safety is strongest when officers and residents know one another and work toward the same goal,’ he said. ‘National Night Out gives us an opportunity to listen, build relationships, and strengthen the partnership that effective policing depends on.’
