Casper, Wyoming, was filled with the sweet taste of entrepreneurship as kids set up their own lemonade stands for the 2026 Lemonade Day. The event, sponsored by Hilltop Bank, aims to teach children the power of entrepreneurship by providing them with the means to set up their own lemonade stands across town.
Learning Valuable Skills
Participants learned important business practices, including budgeting, planning, setting goals, marketing, and running a successful business. Waylon and his brother, Woodrow, were among the many children who took part in the event, selling lemonade, iced tea, and other treats to passersby.
Natalie, 5, was excited to carry on a family tradition by setting up her own lemonade stand. Her mom, Charlotte, said that the event teaches kids valuable skills, including customer service, money handling, and the importance of hard work. Ellie Gamroth and Mia Walker, both 8, were also participating in the event for the third time and enjoyed working together and earning money.
A Community Affair
The community came out in full support of the kids, with many people visiting multiple stands to show their encouragement. Kyle, Ellie’s dad, said that the event is one of his favorites, as it brings the community together and teaches kids important entrepreneurial skills.
