GoCary is suspending its Downtown Loop bus service as it deals with a shortage of drivers. The town announced Thursday that the Downtown Loop service would be suspended until further notice starting July 9.
The service change is the result of an ongoing driver shortage and supports GoCary’s efforts to maintain dependable service across the remainder of the transit system, according to the town of Cary.
Most of the downtown bus stops served by the loop service will be served by other GoCary fixed routes. A map with the routes can be found on the GoCary app.
Cary transit director Kelly Blazey said, “We appreciate our riders’ patience and understanding as we make this service adjustment.”
