Five people have been hurt after being hit by a car while waiting at a bus stop in Springdale Wednesday morning, police say.
It happened on Springfield Pike around 6:30 a.m. A woman was traveling east on Springfield Pike when she began to travel left of center. The car went up onto the sidewalk and ran into a Metro bus stop.
Five people at the bus stop were hit and have been taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police say the driver was not injured and stayed on scene to be interviewed by police.
Officers say they’re working to learn what led to the crash.
