A Michelin-recognized Tex-Mex restaurant, Candente, is expanding to the Heights area of Houston. The new location, expected to open in 2027, will be at 2020 Lawrence St.

Candente, owned and operated by Sambrooks Hospitality, offers lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Popular items include fajitas, enchiladas, and carnitas. The drink menu features frozen margaritas, tequila flights, and classic cocktails.
According to Owner Michael Sambrooks, the team is excited to enter the Heights community and is working with a developer and designers to make this the best Candente location yet.
