In the race for governor, Republican candidate Steve Hilton, endorsed by former President Donald Trump, leads with approximately 28% of the votes, totaling 1,421,466. Lieutenant Governor Race
The contest for lieutenant governor is tight, with Republican Gloria Romero holding 20% of the votes at 946,671, while Democrat Fiona Ma has 19% with 911,093 votes.

Incumbent Democrat Shirley Weber has been declared the winner for Secretary of State with 54% of the votes, while Republican Don Wagner trails with 41%. For the position of Controller, incumbent Malia Cohen, a Democrat, will face Republican Herb Morgan in November, having secured 53% of the votes compared to Morgan’s 42%.
In the race for Attorney General, incumbent Democrat Rob Bonta will compete against Republican Michael Gates in November. Bonta received 53% of the votes, while Gates garnered 43%.
Superintendent of Public Instruction
Republican Sonja Shaw, President of the Chino Valley Unified School Board, leads with 25% of the votes. Democrat Richard Barrera follows with 19%.
Local Measures
Los Angeles County voters appear to have rejected Measure ER, which proposed a half-cent sales tax increase to offset federal cuts to health services. The measure was defeated with 53% voting against it.
