Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a 33-year-old man Monday in connection with the sexual abuse of a 15-year-old girl. The investigation began when a mother reported learning during a medical appointment that her teenage daughter was pregnant. The juvenile told investigators that Benjamin Marsh, who was temporarily staying with the family, sexually assaulted her and caused the pregnancy.
Authorities obtained a warrant for a DNA sample from Marsh. Marsh was found at the Economy Inn on Monkhouse Drive in Shreveport. Investigators interviewed him and determined there was probable cause to arrest Marsh for carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Deputies booked Marsh into the Caddo Correctional Center. Sheriff’s office officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
