Builders finish homes for Clark County’s September Parade of Homes

Clark County’s annual GRO Parade of Homes is set to open its doors on September 11, offering residents a chance to tour eight luxury homes built on expansive 16,000‑square‑foot lots in the Emerald Grove area of Salmon Creek. The three‑week event runs through September 27, with daily public hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and a special VIP preview on September 10.

Final construction work underway

Construction crews have been on site this past week completing the finishing touches on the state‑of‑the‑art homes. While one residence was finished weeks ago, the owners of Pacific Coast Homes, Oleg and Alina Shtanhey, have stepped in to assist a neighboring house to ensure it meets the parade’s schedule. Alina Shtanhey emphasized that custom homes are “our passion” and that the company builds “for families,” adding that a home that brings peace to its occupants is the ultimate goal.

Industry leaders share their vision

Garrett Hergert, CEO of GRO, expressed enthusiasm about the project, noting that the parade highlights the construction industry’s role in beautifying Clark County and creating lasting spaces for families. Hergert traced his family’s roots in the county back 115 years, saying, “We feel like we’re helping to build the community and making it better for everybody in it.”

Rachel Olin, a sales consultant with Generation Homes Northwest, highlighted the opportunity to work directly with clients on their dream homes. “We’re building somebody’s legacy,” Olin said. “It’s an honor to be part of it.”

Community and economic impact

The parade is presented by the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Clark County, the region’s leading advocate for the construction sector and small‑business community. BIA Executive Officer Noelle Lovern described the event as a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation shaping the future of residential living in the Pacific Northwest.

Beyond showcasing architectural design, the parade supports local economic vitality. A portion of each adult ticket sale is donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, linking the event to charitable giving.

What visitors can expect

Each home features integrated smart‑home technology, indoor‑outdoor living spaces, wellness‑inspired amenities, and energy‑efficient systems. The single‑site layout allows attendees to walk from house to house, experiencing a range of design concepts—from modern minimalism to family‑centric layouts—within a walkable setting.

Tickets are sold per person through the official website, and visitors are encouraged to explore the homes for inspiration, whether they are planning a new build, a remodel, or simply seeking ideas for future projects.
