A rapidly spreading brush fire near Llano in northern LA County has prompted evacuation orders for neighborhoods near East Avenue Z and Fort Tejon Road.
As of 2:30 p.m., the Summit Fire has scorched at least 600 acres, according to the LA County Office of Emergency Management.
Flames have not reached the National Forest, but fire crews are concerned about an immediate threat, LA County said.
