The Boston Bruins enter the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft on Friday night with the No. 23 overall pick. It’s one of eight picks they own in this draft.
Draft Strategy
The fastest way for the Bruins to accelerate their retool and remain a playoff team next season is upgrading their roster through the trade market. And with five first-round picks over the next three years, plus a much-improved prospect pool, general manager Don Sweeney has some assets to make moves.
The B’s could also just keep their first-round pick and add another talented young player to their organization. Boston’s last two first-round picks — Dean Letourneau in 2024 and James Hagens in 2025 — have developed well so far.
