Bridgeport will host its first major festival in recent memory as Motoblot takes over Halsted Street this weekend. The festival, which features 40 bands playing two outdoor stages, nearly 30 vendors, and a biker-themed film festival, will run from Friday to Sunday.
Motoblot Festival Details
Motoblot, Chicago’s premier motorcycle street festival, is relocating to Bridgeport after being previously hosted at the Salt Shed and on West Fulton Street near Cobra Lounge. The festival will feature a hot rod show and bike show, a classic pin-up contest, and motorcycle ride.
According to Lawrence “Fletch” Fletcher, a Motoblot organizer, the reception has been really good so far, and Bridgeport is really into it. The festival kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday, with a custom bike reception and a smaller lineup of bands running until 10 p.m.
Saturday will feature the Gasoline Alley hot rod and motorcycle show, along with the pin-up invitational. Oakland metal outfit High on Fire will headline a 10 p.m. aftershow at the Ramova. Sunday will feature a hot-rod takeover and custom bike contest, lining up perfectly with Father’s Day.
