Boston Shootings Leave 2 Dead, 11 Injured

Two people are dead and nearly a dozen others injured after gun violence broke out in Boston over the weekend, police said Sunday.

Shootings in Roxbury and Dorchester

The first fatal shooting happened just after midnight on Sunday, when officers were called to the area of 500 Blue Hill Ave in Roxbury. First responders found three victims with gunshot wounds, who were taken to the hospital. One was pronounced dead, while the other two are expected to survive. A fourth victim later arrived on their own, and is also expected to survive.

In a separate call, around 3:15 a.m. officers were called to 120 George Street in Roxbury for a person shot. There they found three victims. One died at the hospital, and a second has life-threatening injuries. The third is expected to survive.

Around 4:06 a.m., three more people arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening. Investigators said they were shot at the same location.

Boston police are also investigating three other shootings in the city. One around 11:54 p.m. on Saturday on Fayston Street in Roxbury, another around 12:36 a.m. Sunday on Horadan Way in Roxbury, and another at 1:56 a.m. Sunday on Draper Street in Dorchester. In each of these cases, one person was shot and they are all expected to survive.

No arrests were announced in relation to these cases.
