Boston Enjoys Calmer Weather After Unusual Spring Conditions

As Boston wraps up the final weekend of meteorological spring, residents are experiencing a welcome break from the unusual weather patterns that have characterized the season. Out of the 13 weekends this spring, 11 have seen at least a trace of rain, with last Saturday marking the wettest day at 0.38 inches of rainfall.

Weather Patterns and Predictions

Saturday’s weather was particularly erratic, featuring a mix of rain, wind, and even snow in higher elevations. Fortunately, Sunday promises a much calmer atmosphere. Clouds are expected to build throughout the afternoon, with temperatures climbing to a more typical range in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Beachgoers should remain cautious, as there is still a risk of dangerous rip currents along east-facing beaches despite the improved weather conditions. Most areas will stay dry during the day, but showers are likely to develop around sunset and may continue into early Monday. An isolated thunderstorm could also occur, but dry conditions are expected to prevail by Monday morning.

Looking Ahead

The start of the week will be cooler, with temperatures in the low 60s. However, a warming trend is anticipated, with temperatures gradually increasing each day. By Friday, highs are projected to reach the mid-80s, and this warmer weather is expected to continue through the following weekend.
