A new pop-up experience, the Boozy Book Fair, has opened at Everything Bar in West Town, Chicago. The event, designed by Bucket Listers, offers a nostalgic take on the traditional school book fair, but with an adult twist. Visitors can enjoy literary-themed cocktails, browse bookshelves featuring childhood favorites and new releases, and participate in a ‘Secret Book Exchange’.
Experience
Upon entering the bar, guests are surrounded by school-supply-themed decorations and can order drinks like the Tequila Mockingbird or The Very Thirsty Caterpillar. The space also features installations based on I Spy and Magic Eye, as well as a room with an actual bookstore offering the latest adult book fare, including cookbooks, nonfiction, and thrillers.
Staff member Steve mentioned that the bar will operate as normal for a few months after the book fair’s run before rotating out for a new ‘Christmasy’ pop-up experience around December. The Boozy Book Fair is open through October 4.
