A manhunt is underway after a bomb explosion wounded three people, including a child, in the city-state of Monaco. The explosion occurred in a residential building, and the wounded were transported to a hospital in neighboring France.
According to the Monaco government, the bomb exploded shortly before 9 p.m. local time on Monday. A man was caught on camera fleeing to the French town of Beausoleil, which borders Monaco.
About 40 French soldiers and two helicopters have been deployed to assist with the chase. Monaco’s Prince Albert II said in a statement that all relevant state services are mobilized and working closely with French authorities to establish the circumstances of the tragedy and identify those responsible.
