Boise kicked off the Fourth of July holiday in style, bringing back its beloved Ann Morrison Park celebration with a brand-new twist: a first-ever drone show lighting up the Treasure Valley sky.
The festivities were part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. Boiseans had plenty to look forward to, including the America 250 parade, traditional fireworks displays, and the debut drone show — a high-tech spectacle that added a fresh chapter to the city’s Independence Day traditions.
KTVB reported that the celebration returned to Ann Morrison Park, a longtime community gathering spot along the Boise River, giving families and neighbors a familiar home base for the holiday fun. The Idaho Statesman also published a full guide to the day’s events, highlighting the parade, fireworks, and more as part of the city’s milestone Fourth of July lineup.
Whether watching choreographed drones trace patterns overhead or cheering along a parade route, Boise residents had no shortage of ways to come together and celebrate the nation’s birthday in a big way.
