Boise had plenty to celebrate this Fourth of July weekend as residents turned out in force to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence with festivities that spanned downtown streets and the banks of the Boise River.
The centerpiece of the holiday was the return of the city’s beloved celebration at Ann Morrison Park, which this year featured something brand new: a first-ever drone show lighting up the night sky alongside the traditional fireworks display. The combination wowed crowds gathered along the greenbelt and made the America 250 milestone feel truly special for the Treasure Valley community.
Earlier in the day, the Idaho 4th of July Parade filled downtown Boise with marchers, floats, and festive energy, drawing residents from across the region to line the streets and soak in the patriotic spirit. The parade has long been a beloved community tradition, and this year’s edition was no exception.
Across the broader Treasure Valley, Idahoans joined in America 250 festivities at events large and small, making the holiday weekend a memorable community-wide celebration of the nation’s history and the people who call this corner of Idaho home.
