A boil water advisory has been issued for Timberon after E. coli bacteria were discovered in the town’s water supply on August 14. Residents are advised to boil their water for at least three minutes before using it for drinking, washing dishes, or food preparation.
According to the Timberon Water and Sanitation District, boiled or bottled water should be used until the water system operations personnel are able to disinfect the affected areas in the town’s distribution system. The issue is expected to be resolved by August 17.
