Sofia Cardena, the owner of Sofia Loren Salon, said her business was more than just a workplace – it was her second home. The fire, which occurred on June 22, destroyed everything Cardena had built over the years, including equipment, patterns, and her team’s equipment.
Rebuilding Efforts
Cardena is now waiting on the fire report and insurance process before she can begin rebuilding. In the meantime, she is reaching out to clients, applying for assistance, and searching for a new location. Despite the devastation, Cardena said the support from the community has given her hope.
Cardena’s employees are currently out of work, and she is grateful for the community’s support. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
