A two-boat collision occurred off the coast of Hernando Beach on Saturday morning, according to emergency officials. Hernando County Fire Rescue, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the incident.
Responders found that two boats had collided, and one person suffered injuries when their vessel was struck by another boat. The injured individual received initial medical care and was transported to the Aripeka boat ramp, where they declined further hospital transport.
No other injuries were reported, and the incident remains under investigation.
