Emergency crews responded to a reported boat collision in the Intracoastal Waterway near Channel Marker 15 early Saturday afternoon.
According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, units were dispatched around 1:15 p.m. after a 911 caller reported two vessels had collided in open water.
PBCFR crews, along with the Jupiter Police Department, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the U.S. Coast Guard, responded with both land and marine resources.
Officials confirmed the incident involved two boats. One of the vessels was able to navigate safely to a nearby boat ramp. The second boat veered into a seawall following the collision and was rendered no longer seaworthy.
PBCFR’s Ski 18 — a personal rescue watercraft based at Burt Reynolds Park — was the first fire rescue unit to reach the occupants of the grounded vessel.
Fire rescue crews evaluated a total of four people at the scene. Authorities said none of those involved requested transportation to a hospital.
All responding units have since cleared the scene. Further details about the incident are being handled by law enforcement agencies.
